Chevron
The Problem
Chevron introduced a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system to be used by their employees all over the world. The DAM system would be customized to meet their requirements. What they needed now, and they needed it fast, was a training solution.
The Solution
Write on Time Solutions (WTS) began by assessing the training needs. Who were the users? Where were they located? Since Chevron was a global company, this question was paramount. What would each user do with the system? WTS identified three levels of users located all over the world. Training would vary from a 1 to 2 hour class to a quick reference guide. WTS quickly began work on this project. Time was of the essence.
Meanwhile, there was a call for a help system. WTS worked with a developer to define the requirements. We then researched and wrote the copy for a web-based help system. The training classes and help system were completed on time and under budget. All Chevron employees can now share photos and graphics by putting them in the DAM system. A quick reference guide, developed by WTS, shows them how to do this task.
The Problem
Chevron introduced a new credit card system for their call center employees. Training had to be developed and delivered quickly. A train-the-trainer approach was required.
The Solution
Write on Time Solutions (WTS) designed a training plan for this project. The training plan had to synch up with the deployment plan. Employees had to be trained right before deployment. In addition, employees had to be trained on different tasks depending on their job responsibilities. The training plan scheduled classes and specific curricula.
WTS created procedures and curricula based on the Information Mapping model. In addition, WTS designed and delivered the train-the-trainer classes. Key employees would be the trainers. The train-the-trainer classes were conducted. Each new trainer had an opportunity to teach their curricula. Feedback was direct, yet warm and encouraging. WTS assisted the new trainers during training, until they were ready to go it alone.
